CENTRAL TEXAS (KXAN) -- Planning to go fishing this summer? Be aware of several fish consumption bans and advisories across Texas. Texas Department of State Health Services has several active consumption bans and advisories for fish across the state.In Central Texas, there is one advisory for striped bass and longnose gar in Canyon Lake due to a mercury concern, according to the Texas Parks and Wildlife website.Adults and children aged 12 and older should not eat more than two 8-ounce servings per month. Children under age 12 should not eat more than two 4-ounce servings per month. Additionally, no striped bass or longnose gar should be eaten by women who are pregnant, could become pregnant or are breastfeeding. Traveling outside Central Texas to fish? TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Two Troy men were arrested following a stolen car investigation, according to New York State Police. Dale Sousie, 42, and Henry Desnoyers, 52, each face charges. A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a suspected hit-and-run driver in South Los Angeles Sunday night, officials said.The crash was reported around 9:30 p.m. at Vermont Avenue and 98th Street in the Vermont Vista neighborhood, according to the California Highway Patrol.The victim was struck by a white sedan that fled the scene.He was described only as being a man in his 50s.Video from the scene showed officers gathering evidence at the intersection. A man was taken to the hospital in critical condition after he was shot twice in the Beverlywood neighborhood of Los Angeles on Easter morning. The shooting happened around 2:30 a.m. on the 2500 block of South Robertson Boulevard according to the Los Angeles Police Department.Police officials say several people were attending a party at an event space nearby. As the party came to an end and attendants spilled out onto the street, a fight broke out that became violent.The victim was shot twice, police said, and transported to the hospital with serious wounds.
